Speaking
I’ve been presenting my “Glass Half-Full” lessons in leadership, customer care and social media in front of audiences for nearly 10 years, first as SVP of Operations at Bresnan Communications (overseeing over 1100 employees), and then as co-founder of SOBCon, one of the premier “think tank” business conferences in the US.
I adapt my presentation to fit the audience, be it cable technicians, business bloggers, c-level executives, or aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals. I love talking about what I’ve learned over a 29 year career, and I bring this passion and enthusiasm to every stage I walk on.
Over the past year I’ve also spoken at:
BlogWorld 2010 (with Liz Strauss & Carol Roth)
World Research Group Prepaid Card Congress 2011
Innotech Portand 2011 (at their E-marketing summit)
SOBCon Chicago 2011 (April 29- May 1) – here is a summary of that presentation
The Cable Show 2011 Chicago (June 16th)
SOBCon Northwest 2011 (September 16-18, 2011)
Portland State University Digital Marketing Conference 2011 (December 11-12, 2011)
In the coming months, I’ll be speaking at:
PCMA Convening Leaders Conference, San Diego, CA (January 8-11, 2012)
SOBCon Europe, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (June, 2012)
Here is my last presentation in December 2011, doing an “Ignite” session about “9 Ways Social Media Can Make You a Better Leader”
Here is another example of how I blend storytelling, common sense advice, and little bit of music to deliver my SOBCon 2010 Chicago keynote on leadership, entitled “Do The Unexpected”:
Here I am talking about Leadership at SOBCon NW 2011 in Portland:
