I can relate to your story - I look back at some disasterous moments I had leading teams and ill considered decisions down difficult roads I made even more difficult in early career days. You mention in your eBook that you wished you had been given a guidebook as a new manager in the deep end of the pool and I wondered, even if someone plopped an all knowning book in front of young managers (even with a coach) - will the best teacher always be their own experience of trying and failing?
