If you are new to this site, welcome!
I truly hope that the insights and observations expressed here can be of benefit to you, for this blog has evolved to exist as a spectrum of thought revolving around a dual purpose – to help you, and to help me.
I want to give you the best of what’s inside my head and my heart, knowing that the greatest rewards are in what you give me back.
Yep, it’s all about relationships – they matter more to me than anything else. The meaningful and honest dialogs that come about from this medium are like gold to me, precious resources of perspective and feedback that support my life’s journey.
I write about a fairly wide spectrum of topics, to be sure, but there is a theme, and that is the concept of what I call “Half-Fullism”. My tag line is “dealing with the literal world in a positive way”.
There is tremendous benefit in writing (and living) from this perspective – it’s finding the good in just about everything, even in the not-so-good. Sure, I can be sad, or angry, or in a bad place, but what Half-Fullism does is give me a process where I can better deal with it all, and snap back faster.
It’s a process that starts with the pure intent to be happy. That sounds trite, doesn’t it?
But it’s not. Half-Fullism’s foundation is getting over the fear of being happy, balanced by the realism of the rhythms of life. I try to see lessons in every experience, lessons that can accumulate over time into a type of “world wisdom”.
It’s keeping my eyes wide open to possibilities, always. And what has made this learning easier has been the opportunity to write about it all on this blog, whether it’s from the business world and my leadership experiences, the blogging world itself, my personal life experiences, my love of music, my love of traveling to wondrous places, or just looking at things with a sense of whimsy and humor.
There’s Half-Fullism in all of it – that’s the glue that holds it all together.
So how does this all help you? Why should you read this stuff?
I’m a believer in what is sometimes called “the law of attraction” – that is, if I can put a positive enough vibe out there, laced with the possibilities of a path to happiness and fulfillment through a personal philosophy, and infused with encouragement and a genuine desire to help other people, then I can transfer some of that to those who read it.
Once it transfers I would hope you could use it for your own personal benefit, and thus make it worth your while that you took the time to read what I’m writing.
It all comes back when you comment, or we start a conversation that leads to a relationship, or we take it another step to a long-term friendship.
That is the greatest reward for me- and the clearest illustration of “you get what you give” I could ever come up with.
So take a look around, and please, if you can, comment and join the conversation. I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks!
