Humility puts us on the road to greatness and gets us over the bridge from “I” to “We”.
Trust is an enabler that builds a fortress of credibility with the teammates on the other side of the bridge.
Values form a shield over the fortress that protects it from invasion of parasites, naysayers and narcissists.
Teaching shows the way forward for the fortress as it continues down the road, as one.
Accountability keeps all moving parts of the fortress running smooth, at optimal speed and on the right glidepath.
Metrics provide a important barometer of current positioning, as well as keep the ultimate goal clearly in sight.
Positivity prevents the fortress from stalling out, the momentum always pointing forward.
And Love is the overdrive that pulls our fortress of credibility into the rarified air of a higher and meaningful purpose as it reaches the pinnacle.
I believe in them. I have lived these simple truths throughout my career, and they have never let me down.
I have shared them, re-emphasized them, and rephrased them with you many times over the past 10 years on this site because they are my core, my heart, and my leadership story, encapsulated.
And I feel just as strongly that they can help you too.
