Very insightful. It's an interesting trend: everyone expects to be happy all the time. This is perpetuated by the Internet and the tech age, where we have 24/7 immediate access to just about every bit of information we need. So waiting on anything makes us impatient. Taking the time to master anything makes us impatient. Discovering that 15% of our jobs isn't perfect makes us impatient.

We need to recognize more that quality takes time, effort, and isn't all together 'fun' all the time. It is, after all, called work.

Terry, thanks for the post- raises a good reminder to stop missing out all the good stuff in search of 'perfection'. To be happy, we need to appreciate the good in what we have and our valient efforts toward (and the accomplishment of) important goals. It's equally important to accept flaws, imperfections, and warts as long as the majority of our experience is positive.
