Here's his philosophy paraphrased: When you're are doing what you love (passion), and what you are good at and enjoy doing (fun), you hit the sweet spot and succeed. For me, your third point, cause, is a natural extension of my Best & Highest Use. Doing something for a cause, especially for the benefit of my community, others or the universe at large, is an integral part of who I am and what motivates me. Michener's quote that you used seems like a great metaphor for how social media is blending our personal and professional lives again, creating a whole individual for others to see. My work with my horses and dogs, especially my work with rescues and fostering, fits more neatly into that description than my job. I am driven to do the work with animals, call it my passion and I believe my calling. I wish I did feel that way about my main job (my secondary job I do love) but due to recent circumstances I know that I don't. The good thing is I have my farm, my sanctuary, my animals to come home to each evening.
