..and another killer app is LOVE.

"Love is the Killer App, How to Win Business and Influence Friends by Tim Sanders" is an awesome book on how to bring compassion into the business world. It explains why love, not greed or fear, is the most powerful force in business. Highly recommended read.

I've included the book review on my blog.

Couldn't agree more. One of the great, oft ignored, upsides of social networking is the increased difficulty of spinning a story and keeping it spun.

The days of CEO's working in a vacuum are coming to an end as companies, because of social networking, have less and less control over how they are perceived.

The answer is obvious in its simplicity. If you want to be perceived as a solid, dependable, fair and honest boss then be a solid, dependable, fair and honest boss.

I am increasingly convinced that the only lesson in all of human history is "Pride goeth before a fall." There is ample evidence to support this point of view, from the fall of the Roman Empire to the fall of AIG. Virtually every leader - political, corporate, or otherwise - who has been brought low has been so because of his or her hubris.

This lesson remains the only lesson in human history because it is never learned. While I think it is unlikely that it will be broadly learned this time around, we do have an opportunity today, and your post highlights it well. Thanks for posting it.
