Terry, thank you for this story as it is right in line with what I believe. I’m a fun coach and I teach people how to remember to have fun and be childlike. I even wear my hat, “I don’t want to grow up,” which was given to me by co-workers when I was a corporate trainer. Life is about having fun and playing. Thank you for this article.

I always like to repeat to myself something my uncle once told me. “Love people and have fun.” Similar to your idea of staying childlike in every good way and never ceasing to grab life by the horns.

“Never grow up, and Never give up”…even if you’re not sure what you’re not giving up on.

So many people have clear and defined goals – or purpose. I have struggled beyond description with this.

What has helped me? To strive to not grow up and to maintain a sense of wonder…and that sense of wonder is beginning to dissipate the clouds surrounding my purpose.

Great needle-in-a-haystack find amidst the financial and social tumult. When I’m sure the latest Palin poll or inconsiderate neighbor is about to drive me into a coat with extra long sleeves and a room with padded walls, your posts and attitude always seem to chill me out.
