On the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, I once again pay tribute to one of the victims of that day, Thomas F. Swift.
Tommy, as he was called by those who were fortunate enough to know him, was taken all too soon from this world at the age of 30.
When I first paid tribute to him two years ago, I noted that even though I had originally been assigned this task randomly as part of commemorating the 5th anniversary of this tragedy, I felt I was destined to do it, because of what I called “eerie” similarities between the two of us. Particularly his love of trivia, reading encyclopedias, and music, and his sense of humor.
He was a “Half-Fuller” in every way, and to this day I wish I could have met him.
If you have a chance, please read my original post about Tommy, and also read the comments from his wife, family and friends, so we can continue to honor and remember this kindred spirit.
We can never forget.
