Happy Holidays!
Ramblings From a Glass Half Full is 2 years old today, and to celebrate, I’m very pleased to move to this new home.
All of my dear blogging friends have been bugging me to move off of Blogger for some time now, and a few weeks ago I finally mustered up the will to get it done.
I’d be remiss not to offer my grateful thanks to Jesse Petersen for all the work he has put into setting this whole thing up – you are da man Jesse!
We chose a format that is much in tune with how this blog has evolved – like a magazine that allows you the reader to see and sort through a variety of topics and conversations with greater ease.
First, I’ve categorized all of my posts and they are noted right under the masthead, so for instance if you’d like to see all my writings on Leadership you can just click right through.
There is also a “Featured Article” section on top that you can tab through quickly (see the black bar), plus a summary of other recent articles below it.
Another cool thing are the tabs on the right side, below my picture. There you can find my most popular posts, my blogroll, and search, tab, and archive tools, just with the click of a mouse.
All the recent comments are now in full view on the right side as well.
All in all, I’m really happy with what we’ve come up with, and I hope you are too.
And to start my third year in the blogosphere, I go back to where it began, on my first post, where I said this:
“Yes, I always tend to look at the glass as “half full” – call me an eternal optimist, call me a fool, but I find it’s the best way to live one’s life with the least amount of angst. I hate angst. Now I wish I could always see the bright side of everything, but hey, that’s why I need to blog – to share perspectives and learn from other experiences.”
Here’s to many more years of sharing and learning!
All my best to all of you, and thanks for your support and encouragement.

Hey, way to go, Terry! Although… since you’ve gone to a “magazine” format, you really should put your mug on the cover!
Congratulations, Terry, on this new site! Looks great. Best wishes for 2008!
Regards,
Terry
Congratulations on 2 years of blogging, and a great new home! Keep up the great work!
Hi Terry,
I do love this new look! Blogging has been quite a ride, eh? Looking forward to sharing more customer service stories and meaningful conversations in 2008
Wow! Thanks Chris, Phil, Liv, Sandy, Larry, Karen, Tom, Robert, Terry, KermitFan, and Maria for your kind words.
It’s good to be in the WordPress family. I’ve truly enjoyed corresponding with all of you and I’m as pumped as ever to keep sharing the links, love and learning!
Maria is right – it HAS been quite a ride!
All my very best to you all.
Congrats, Terry. I like the tabbed look!
Hey Terry,
Great new digs, love the new layout. It seems like a very inviting place, which I know it already is.
I sent you an e-mail in answer to your question btw.
All the Best in your New Home.
Congrats on the move, Terry. Feels good to have it done, no? You’ll love Wordpress.
I also liked the quote from your first post. We always like to talk about what blogging has done for business, marketing and so on but we rarely touch on what blogging does for us on a personal level.
And I think that is the real treasure of the entire journey and exploration that is blogging.
Awesome, Terry! I love the new look and the new domain name… and let me also welcome you to the WordPress family (that does sound better than cult, doesn’t it?)
Terry,
Happy Birthday and Happy Housewarming! The new site looks great!
Terry:
Your new site is awesome! An inspiration for all to switch out of blogspot!!
Chris
Hi Steve, Joe, Tim, Lyman and April! Thanks for stopping by the new place, and for your kind words.
And yes, “WordPress family” sounds much better than cult!
Congrats on your new home! I know that was a LOT of work and it must feel great to start the new year off having accomplished a major goal!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for your kind message! My glass feels almost completely full right now! : )
All the best,
Ariane
Great new site, Terry! I’m excited to see how things go for you in 2008. Due to the holidays, I’m playing catch up on my reading (and writing), so I’ll be sure check back soon and more often!
Congratz!
Keep Cooking!
Andrew
Thank you Andrew, much appreciated. Do come back soon and Happy New Year!
Woohoo! This looks great! Maybe one day I’ll be on WordPress, too…
Hi, Terry,
Great to hear you have an interest in call center content! I’ve corrected the link on both my Blogger site (where you found it) and on
my current WordPress blog:
http://yaichablog.com/2008/01/26/how-do-you-find-good-blogs-to-read/
If you’d like to post a comment there, please feel free. I’m not sure
how long I will leave the blogger site up. Probably just until I
notify the dozen or so friends who were reading there that I have a new address.
