Virginia Tech: Tragedy Through a Glass Half-Full

by Starbucker on April 17, 2007

This morning I was consumed by the images on my TV set – a horrible tragedy at Virginia Tech.

Yesterday was not a good day for optimists, or positive thinkers, or followers of the Law of Attraction. There is no rational way to explain why these people had to die. It can’t be spun around.

That glass is still half-full, but the liquid is very murky today.

My heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims – you have a whole country behind you.

And here is a hope for those able to look at this objectively and make a difference going forward – let’s learn from this, and take sensible and supportable measures to prevent future tragedies.

We owe it to those individuals whose lives were extinguished so prematurely and senselessly.
