Today’s our last day in LA; it’s about 80 degrees and sunny today and I have to say that this sure beats an east coast winter. While we’re on the subject of courage (see yesterday’s post), I came across this blog item on this topic from one of my favorites, the Coyote Within, called “Being Yourself Matters”. This guy has a way with words that I’m not going to even try to duplicate. Try this one: “Yet the price for being yourself can never be as great as the price you must pay for stepping aside from your basic nature: a price paid in frustration, dissatisfaction and wretched realization of all you might have been, but now can never attain”. Good stuff. It all keeps revolving around being what I called “real” – yes, “conformity has very little to recommend it”. Well worth taking to heart.
Yesterday I also saw something well linked in blogland but a hoot nevertheless – “Brokeback to the Future”. Watch it and I dare you not to smile.
