The Half Full Hall of Fame - 1st Inductee

In everyone’s daily life there are people, either friends, aquaintances or those in the public domain that are admired for the way they conduct themselves in their given orbit. Reading this piece today in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal brought to mind one in particular - Brett Favre of the Green Bay Packers. He’s thinking about retiring from the game after 15 years in the NFL, and by the looks of this article it looks like it probably will happen. If it does, I will certainly miss the obvious joy he had in doing his job, and the way he performed as a leader and as a true sportsman. Most of all I’ll miss his half full approach to playing - if there was still time on the clock, there was still a chance to win, and he showed that grit and determination many times. He was and is a fun guy to watch play football. While I know he’s a lock to be elected to the NFL Hall of Fame, I’m going to waive all protocol (what protocol - I just started this thing!) and unanimously proclaim Brett Favre as the 1st inductee in the Starbucker Half Full Hall of Fame. Congrats Brett, and thanks.
