One more photo from my trip to Colorado I had to share – this one along US Route 160 just east of Alamosa, just after an overnight coating of snow, looking towards the Sangre de Cristo range and its largst peak, Blanca (elevation 14,345). This is part of the San Luis Valley, a truly beautiful and often overlooked part of the state. Nearby is also the Great Sand Dunes National Park, home of 39 square miles of the largest sand dunes in North America. There’s also a great article and more pictures that you should check out in one of my favorite Webzines, “New West”. If you want to get off the beaten path for a truly unique experience (even on a business trip), this is the place.
