The late Peter Drucker was a management consulting legend who’s imprint is on just about any leadership book you read nowadays. As someone who’s spent a lot of time developing and teaching my own leadership techniques and theories, I’ve come to appreciate the utter simplicity and timelessness of his approach. In particular, his view that employees are “assets, not a cost”. Check out this article in today’s New York Times to see what I mean – that view was published nearly 40 years ago! Complexity and “half fullness” don’t mix.
